My name is Hanna, and I have known Crystal and Patrick for the past 10 years. We met working at Outback Steakhouse and have been friends ever since. There are so many fun things that we do together, we are so close, and pretty much like a “friend family”.
Crystal is the exceptional friend, teacher, wife, and role model. She is kind hearted, energetic, honest, compassionate, and many times will put others needs ahead of her own. These are just some of the qualities that she possess that will make her an outstanding mother. I have personally seen Crystal in her classroom, and she rises above all of the rest. The way that she cares for her students as they are her own, is truly amazing. I see the love that shines through her heart when she is with children. It is truly her calling, and passion. She will quickly drop everything needed in order to help a needed child. This is why I know Crystal will be an exceptional mom. I have supported and have been Crystal’s “cheerleader” through her struggles with becoming a mommy. Through it all she has kept the utmost positivity, and this is why she is not only my best friend, but a role model. I can only hope to be as warm hearted, and as selfless as she has proven herself to be.
Patrick is a grounded, loyal, and entertaining man. He loves Crystal with all of his heart, and wants to start a family with her. Whenever I need Patrick for help, he has always been there right away. He never lets me, or anyone else down. Patrick is someone that is a good listener, and will be there for anyone who needs to talk. I know that he will take these qualities, and they will make him a great dad
I have known Crystal Phelps Catherwood since she was a student teacher at A.B. Combs Leadership Magnet Elementary School in 2008. She is a wonderful, caring and patient teacher She loves each student where they are. Her students come back to visit her daily. She is strict and loving at the same time. I attended her wedding to Patrick. They would be fabulous parents to any child. The child would grow up in a warm, safe and caring environment. They have lots of love to give.

Crystal and I have been friends since high school (so almost 14 years), and I can honestly say she has a mother's heart. I can remember us spending time together, even as teenagers, dreaming of having kids (we wanted four each...) and how we would be great moms. Crystal is one of the kindest, loving women you could ever hope to meet and would do anything to help someone in need. She is a playful, fun, person, and always seeking creative ways to help her kids in her class grow. She always wanted to be a teacher, simply because she wanted to work with and help kids. I always joked that I would move to her school district, just because I wanted her in my kids lives and to be their teacher. Even though it has been a struggle for Crystal and Patrick, she has stayed positive and dedicated herself to adopting and having a family. Her and Patrick have a beautiful, warm home, ready for a little one. Patrick adores Crystal and is also a fun-loving, caring man who would make a great father. Any child that finds their way to the Catherwood's will be blessed to have them as parents.
