Can't hardly believe it, but we are now scheduled to close in about 45 days or so. WOW! They contacted us for our pre-drywall hard hat meeting and everything went smooth. We had an additional inspector come out today to double-check and he gave the all clear! The builder has now moved up our timeline and cut our countdown in half! CRAZY! This is getting real! We are working on trying to get our closing to happen the first weekend in April, so that we can start moving in and settling down over my spring break from school. Fingers crossed that this happens, because if they move any faster, it might be too fast for us haha! (Not that I'm wanting to live in this tower of boxes any longer, but our lease isn't up until the end of April.)
So......drywall starts going up on MONDAY!! WOOP WOOP!!!
We did get to see our shingles on the roof and our new windows which are GORGEOUS. They are craftsman style and have a pretty clear view pane/design.
And an update on our item status: we were able to score a sale on a washer/dryer set. We had a bump in the road as the washer got dented upon arrival at the store, so, Lowe's was nice enough with their great customer service to allow us to keep the washer in the meantime so we could wash our million loads of laundry that has piled up this month (I was getting pretty close to wearing bikinis to work lol!), refund us $160, AND still ship a brand new washer to us, which is getting brought in on Monday. They will take the other one away for free too! Can't beat that!
We can't wait to see all the finishes we picked come together! What a fun, exciting, stressful, but enjoyable time! I know Patrick will be much more happy and settled as soon as he gets those keys in his hand ;-)
